I am currently using the above 2 download managers and everytime i click on the link for the download, only the "index" would be downloaded and no download would start. What should i do? Also, when i am trying to download something from MEGASHARE, clicking on the "click here for download" only refreshes the page and no download appears even though i have not used any of the 300mb given. Please help.

how about Free download manager ( www.freedownloadmanager.org/ ) - I used to use DAP, but the free version is so loaded up with spyware it isn't funny
The reason for your errors is a conflict btwn the two - always better to stick with just one
