Download managers/accelerators aren't working anymore!?

The only ones that still work are the ones that come with the browser.

For example, when i use download accelerator plus I enter the url to download and it downloads the PAGE of the rapidshare download instead of the actual file. I have direct downloads enabled on rapidshare it shouldnt even want to display the page, it didn't used to try and download the page that has the file, it used to just load the file not the html page.. any help?

Download flashget.... http://www.flashget.com/index_en.htm run it, then go to Tools.Default Download properties then enable login to server enter your rapidshare username and passsword there then clcik ok.... copy your rapid share link, press f4 to automatically add new job it should work

another problem may be that after the download it may name the file as .rar.html , zip.html or .exe.html

just rename the file to .rar, .zip or. exe as the case may be. to get he tru extension of the file, open my documents got to tools %26gt; folder options tab%26gt; deselect add "hide extension of known file type. the rename your rapidshare files to the original extensions
